Mary-Ellen A. Kendall, a former MRWBA president, has been named General Counsel for the National White Collar Crime Center, Inc. The NW3C is a nonprofit corporation that provides training and support services for federal, state, and local law enforcement officials on fraud and cybercrime issues. She was the Director of the Office of Financial Assurance at the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
Congratulations to Kim (and Chris) Magee who had a baby girl, Elizabeth Riley Magee, on November 20, 2000. She was 7 lbs. 3 oz. and 20 ½ inches long.

Sometimes it just takes the right organization to LINC-up with.
LINC, the Legal Information Network for Cancer, is seeking attorneys to help cancer patients deal with the business side of cancer by providing pro bono services in the following areas: insurance appeals, social security disability appeals, drafting of wills, advance medical directives and powers of attorney, employment, bankruptcy and child custody.
Attorneys in all areas of practice are welcome; attorneys with expertise in insurance and estate planning are particularly needed.
For those of you who practice in Federal Court, the Local Rules of Practice for the Eastern District (including a black lined version) are now available on the MRWBA's web site. Check them out!
