Tina's Wish EmpowHER SeriesMRWBA is pleased to collaborate with Tina's Wish as a Community Partner for their EmpowHER Series! The webisode series educates and empowers women in relation to their gynecologic health. Recordings of the first three webisode, Gynecologic Cancers: Facts & Differences, Disparities in Gynecologic Cancers and How We Can Close the Gap, and The Role Genetics Plays in Gynecologic Cancers are available on the Tina's Wish website_________________ | Want to Be a Mentor or Serve on a Committee? Update Your Member Profile! As MRWBA prepares to enter a new Bar year, we'd like to ask each member (even those who just joined) to take two or three minutes to log in, review and update your member profile. This will be especially important to let us know what committee(s) you might be interested in serving on, as well as whether or not you wish to be a mentor or if you would like to have a mentor assigned in the coming year.
_________________________________ New Membership Category AddedWhen the Board held their retreat last month, it was decided that it was time to add a new membership category: Full Member, Public Service Worker. The category is for any member who works in federal, state, local or tribal government organizations (including schools and the military), public child or family service agencies, 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations, or tribal colleges or universities, and offers a reduced dues rate of $85 per year. As with all of MRWBA's membership categories, it is possible to set up automatic renewals if you would like to do so. If you are a Public Service worker, be sure to change your member category in your profile so that your renewal will be billed at the appropriate rate. _________________________________ Year-End Committee Reports Available
The last year and a half have been challenging times for the entire world. MRWBA is no exception, but the year could have been much worse for us than it was. Despite the pandemic, MRWBA was able to end the year with a slight increase in the number of members, managed to shift all of our programming to a virtual format, and minimized the fiscal losses. For an update on what was happening within MRWBA this past bar year, click here to access a copy of the year-end reports
from the committees. _________________________________ |
