Join us on September 10th as we welcome Miriam Airington-Fisher, author of the 2023 book Mom’s a Lawyer: How to Start a Firm and Take Control of Your Life, to discuss how you can create a practice you love, guidance on balancing career and family, and creating supportive workplaces.

Our Presenter

Miriam Airington-Fisher has practiced law in the Richmond area for 16 years. In 2016, after the birth of her first child, she started her own criminal and immigration practice which she has grown into a 27-person (and counting) firm, Las Abogadas RVA. Las Abogadas RVA is a multi-lingual immigration law firm with clients from all over the world, catering to Spanish-speaking clients. Today, the firm has an all-women leadership team and, in 2024, was named an Inc. Best Workplace and received a B Corp certification as a socially and environmentally responsible business. Miriam is a frequent speaker on topics related to firm management and workplace culture. She continues to manage her firm, and also works with other lawyers and law firms on launching, scaling, or revamping their practices.
